Serum (SST) or Plasma Heparin (Green). 

Draw blood before other specimens that require anticoagulated tubes. Reject hemolyzed samples.

Stability

  • Ambient: 3-5 days
  • Refrigerated: 7-14 days
  • Frozen: 28 days

Separate serum of Plasma within 45 minutes of collection.
