Acute rheumatic fever

Rule out Streptococcal infection.

Differential diagnosis of arthritis.

Rule out Rheumatic heart disease.

Differential diagnosis of arthritis.

If culture is negative and symptoms of Rheumatic fever are indicated.

If patient is febrile. Differential diagnosis of bacterial endocarditis.

Rule out Streptococcal infection. Use this test if Group A strep by molecular is not available.

If arthritis present are involved.
